Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Jordan has it's own expression, and of course very different from Natasha despite the same clones of Pinot. Cherry tobacco fills the nose with a subtle take of vanilla. As you take a sip sauteed mushroom, and graphite hit your middle palette with pine. Jordan finishes with a long dry finish.
Vineyard Notes
Soil Type: Volcanic rock (Steiwer) Vine Clones: 40% Wadenswil and 60% Pommard
Winemaker Notes
The 2017 growing season began with a more normal bud break. The average daily temperatures were slightly warmer with three high temperature incidents and warmer nights. The year ended with a beautiful ripening period of cooler than normal temperatures in the month of September leading to a more fruit characteristics balancing nicely with the minerality and acidity.
Food Pairing Notes
This fuller-bodied Pinot with softer acidity and tannins pairs beautifully with, steak tenderloin, sautéed vegetables, braised rabbit, duck, or a sweet berry pie.

Other Notes
The J-Block, also known as Jordan Block, is named after the middle daughter of the winemaker. It sits on 4 estate acres facing south at a steeper, higher slope and gets more benefit from the coastal breeze each afternoon.
