Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Aromatics abound of light pepper, cherry, and a hint of leather. On the palate, raspberry is the initial fruit flavor, along with dark red cherry, plum, blueberry, and slight baking spice. The finish of a little smoke and leather has soft tannins and light acidity.
Vineyard Notes
The Cuvée consists of fruit from the estate called the “Bailey Block” which is the last name of the winemaker, along with fruit from Bjornson Vineyards and Yamhill Valley Vineyards. The Bailey Block is set at 660 to 700 feet in elevation. Soil Type: Volcanic rock (Steiwer Soil) & Shelf of Shale

Food Pairing Notes
This Cuvée is light-bodied, so it will pair with everything: fish, beef, chicken, or Friday night pizza. You can even pair this with PB & J.
Other Notes
Vintage Summary: Bud-break started in April and was followed by a warmer-than-usual summer, but with no major temperature spikes. These warm, consistent temperatures gave us an early harvest. Youngberg Hill produced fruit that was fully ripe, with moderate alcohol and juicy acid, which made for intense, luscious wines.
